The God of spring's new life, of
summer's joy and of autumn's fullness
is also the God of winter's chill. Although
we never know what lies buried beneath
the frozen stillness, we can trust
that surely, surely, after winter comes the spring.

Please Help Spread Awareness About Neurofibromatosis

What is NF, you might ask? Neurofibromatosis encompasses a set of distinct genetic disorders that cause tumors to grow along
various types of nerves and, in addition, can affect the development of non-nervous tissues such as bones and skin. Neurofibromatosis
causes tumors to grow anywhere on or in the body.
Ashley has bilateral optic nerve gliomas.
Essentially, these are benign brain tumors behind her eyes on the optic nerves themselves. While these tumors are not cancerous,
they are considered semi-malignant because they threaten her eyesight. Essentially, they could cause her to go blind in one
or both eyes. There is no cure for NF, and there is no way to predict the path she'll follow. Cases range from very mild to
quite severe, and can involve any part of the body. God willing, she could continue through life without these things
ever causing her any more grief than merely monitoring them. Ashley also has a suspicious cyst in her cerebral
mass. Frequent monitoring has been required every 2-3 months by MRI for the last 3 years through present and continues in
order to track her tumor growth. Chemotherapy has been avoided to date, but remains lurking in the shadows. There is
no cure for NF. This site has been created in order to help inform others about Neurofibromatosis, to help spread awareness,
and to aid in important research. Thank you for your interest, and for your support.

When you pass through the waters, I
will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they
will not sweep over you.
Isaiah 43:2

Jesus said: "Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:20
I will not doubt, though all my ships
at sea
Come drifting home with broken masts
and sails;
I shall believe the hand which never
fails,
From seeming evil worketh good to
me.
And, though I weep because those
sails are battered,
Still will I cry, while my best hopes
lie shattered,
"I trust in thee."

Success is never permanent. Failures
are never final.
The only thing that counts is to
never, ever give up.

I Refuse To Be Discouraged by BJ George
I refuse to be discouraged, To be sad, or to cry;
I refuse to be downhearted, and here's the reason why:
-
I have a God who's mighty, Who's sovereign and supreme;
I have a God who loves me, and I am on His team.
-
He is all-wise and powerful. Jesus is His name;
Though everything is changeable, My God remains the same.
-
My God knows all that's happening; Beginning to the end;
His presence is my comfort; He is my dearest Friend.
-
When sickness comes to weaken me, To bring my head down low,
I call upon my mighty God; Into His arms I go.
-
When circumstances threaten to rob me of my peace;
He draws me close unto His breast, Where all my strivings
cease.
-
When my heart melts within me, and weakness takes control;
He gathers me into His arms, He soothes my heart and soul.
-
The great "I AM" is with me. My life is in His hand;
The "Son of the Lord" is my hope, It's in His strength I stand.
-
I refuse to be defeated, My eyes are on my God;
He has promised to be with me, as through this life I trod.
-
I'm looking past all my circumstances, To Heaven's throne
above;
My prayers have reached the heart of God, I'm resting in His
love.
-
I give God thanks in everything. My eyes are on His face;
The battle's His, the victory mine; He'll help me win the
race.
